At The Journey, we believe marriage is a God-ordained institution.
 Marriage is a covenant commitment reflecting God's unconditional faithfulness to his people throughout all ages. In contrast to our culture's view of a contractual agreement ("marriage is intended to make me happy"), which often leads to divorce, we affirm a covenant understanding ("marriage is intended to make me holy") which leads to lifelong commitment. We believe marriage is for one man and one woman for one lifetime.
 We consider it a great privilege to play a part in your entrance into the oneness of marriage. It is our desire that your experience at The Journey be beneficial and helpful. For premarital counseling, we offer three classes and a mentoring relationship with an older married couple. For your wedding, we have several ministers at The Journey that are licensed to perform weddings. All of our weddings take place at our Hanley Road location in Clayton.
